Anđelić Wine Cellar
The winding road towards the Anđelić family winery on the outskirts of Trebinje is a path well worth taking! Enter the oasis of calm that is the winery’s courtyard and relax while tasting your first sip of one of Anđelić’s excellent wines, including Žilavka and Vranac as well as international varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and a Merlot-based rose.

Hear the fascinating history of the Anđelić family, which has been producing wine for well over a century, the tradition now continuing with Milica Anđelić, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s only female winery owner and the country’s first female sommelier, as well as her daughter Milena, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s youngest sommelier!
The experience would not be complete without a taste of the excellent local prosciutto and cheese served at Anđelić.
Andrija Wine Cellars
Experience the best of Herzegovinian hospitality and family traditions at Andrija Winery! The Ćorić family has been engaged in wine production for four generations, with the winery receiving its name from Andrija Ćorić, who significantly advanced and expanded production in the mid-20th century.
The modern Andrija Wine Cellar is a love letter to the stone that dominates the Herzegovinian landscape and the wine it brings forth through its vineyards. Start your visit with a small exhibition dedicated to the family history and continue to the expansive restaurant and tasting room with a gorgeous view over the surrounding vineyards. Taste some of Andrija’s famous wines and brandies with a traditional Herzegovinian plate of home-made bread, cured meats, cheese and olives. The true treasure of the Andrija Winery is the wine cellar, resembling a traditional Herzegovinian stone house and housing a “wine bank”, an archive of the most valuable wines owned by Andrija’s friends and business partners.
The latest addition to the winery is the Andrija Wine & Heritage Hotel, the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering luxurious rooms overlooking the surrounding vineyards.
Begić Wine Cellar
The Wine Cellar Begić is located in the village of Prolog on the western edge of Herzegovina, the border with the Croatian region of Dalmatia running right through one of its vineyards! The close connection with Dalmatia is reflected in Begić’s wines, as it is one of the very few wineries in Bosnia and Herzegovina producing the variety Plavac Mali, which is native to the Croatian peninsula of Pelješac. Begić also produces Žilavka, and rose based on Plavac Mali, as well as an excellent selection of traditional fruit brandies. The winery is located next to the Begić family home, so that a tour will feel like visiting old friends! Relax on the winery’s patio overlooking a gorgeously curated landscape consisting of rocks, pebble and vineyards. Besides traditional Herzegovinan cold platters, Begić also serves the delicious local specialties of roasted veal under the bell – a traditional cooking technique in which meat and vegetables are part roasted and part steamed in a round metal container on charcoal – or lamb on the roast.
Carska Vina Grgo Vasilj
The Carska Vina Grgo Vasilj winery is located in a small alley on the outskirts of the pilgrimage town of Međugorje. Do not be deceived by its unassuming family house exterior, as once inside, you will be welcomed into a large, tastefully decorated tasting room that can accommodate up to 70 persons or an equally impressive terrace.
Besides its excellent wines including Žilavka, Blatina and cuvees containing Pinot Grigot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Carska Vina Grgo Vasilj is distinguished by its luxuriously designed wine bottles, with labels named after the owner Andrija Vasilj’s children. If you decide to visit the winery, Andrija will be happy to share his expertise and the family’s 150 year long tradition of wine production.
You may also be joined by his father Grgo, who started the modern wine production. The Vasilj family also owns Cesarica, the first wine hotel in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located close to the winery in the town of Međugorje. If you find yourself in the Međugorje area in late August, be sure to visit the Blaž Enology festival dedicated to producers of Blatina and Žilavka, organized by the Carska Vina Grgo Vasilj winery.
Čitluk Winery
Čitluk Winery is one of the largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, producing a total of more than 50 labels of wines and spirits.
The winery is the proud owner of the stone vineyards, a unique, 100 ha vineyard planted in white, extremely rocky soil, built in the early 1980s. Make sure to stop at this stunning location close to the village of Blizanci and enjoy the spectacular view! The winery’s production facilities are located in the center of the town of Čitluk, offering a glimpse into its 75 years of history, as well as a tasting room that can accommodate up to 100 persons.
If you are fortunate, you will be greeted by winemaker Tihomir Prusina, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first enology PhD specialized in Herzegovinian varieties, who will be happy to share his extensive knowledge. Another way to taste the best of Čitluk wines is to visit its affiliated restaurant Romanca on the outskirts of Mostar, offering an excellent selection of local and Herzegovinian dishes in a beautiful environment surrounded by vineyards.
Dabić Winery
Dabić Winery, established by Igor Dabić, is a testament to the fusion of traditional viticulture and modern innovation located in Eastern Herzegovina. Educated in Plant Production and Plant Protection, Igor returned from Canada to revitalize his family’s vineyards and expand wine and brandy production. Today, the winery manages thousands of vines, producing approximately 10,000 liters of wine and 2,000 liters of brandy annually.
The vineyards boast a variety of grapes including Vranac, Zilavka, Merlot, and Cabernet, with plans to further expand with Zilavka to meet increasing demand. Dabić Winery is also constructing a new facility in Volujac, which will include a modern winery, a tasting room, and a mini-restaurant offering local cuisine.
Their products, well-received in markets from Trebinje to the Montenegrin coast, account for about 90% of annual sales. Additionally, Igor has leveraged his agricultural expertise to open Agroplod, an agricultural pharmacy that offers consulting and management services for local vineyards and orchards.

Domano Winery
Domano Winery is located on the road between Mostar and Čapljina on the Dubrava Plateau in the village Domanovići. The winery presents a classic but multifunctional space with an architectural style that draws inspiration from the local culture and landscape. Here, visitors can unwind in a relaxing atmosphere while experiencing a wine tasting and sampling the best of Herzegovinian delicacies. Domano winery produces around 200.000 bottles per year and is best known for its sparkling Žilavka wine, the first and only wine of this type in the country. The cellar of Domano Winery is home to the largest oak barrel in Bosnia and Herzegovina with an outstanding capacity of 16,230 liters. Numerous domestic and international awards, including two Decanter’s Platinum medals (2017) for the Best Central & Eastern European white & red wine (Žilavka2016 & Blatina2015), are a testament to the exceptional quality of the wines produced on site.
Hotel Emporia / Imperial Vineyards Winery

The Imperial Vineyards Mostar winery produces wines of a new generation, relying on recipes dating back 100 years and the latest modern technology. 40 hectares of vineyards are mainly planted with local indigenous varieties Žilavka and Blatina, as well as Pošip, Trnjak, Chanin Blanc, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay. Vineyard is one of the few in Europe where Chanin Blanc grows, a world-renowned noble white grape variety.
During the winery tour, you can learn about the history of Imperial Vineyards dating back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the creative approach to winemaking, nurturing indigenous varieties in combination with popular international white and red grape varieties, and taste 9 exceptionally unique and premium wines created by the Emporia wine team.

Marijanović Family Wine Cellar
The Marijanović Family Wine Cellar is known as one of the most innovative wineries in Herzegovina, producing both excellent single varietal domestic and international wines – Žilavka, Blatina, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon – and unique blends such as the famous 33 Barrique.
Located in the village of Služanj between Čitluk and Međugorje, the Marijanović winery is nestled in the gorgeous environment of its own vineyards, thus minimizing the time between grape harvesting and processing, and thereby contributing to the quality of wine.
Visitors to the winery are treated to a memorable experience led by winemaker Josip Marijanović, representing his family’s fourth generation of wine producers. The visit includes a descent into the winery’s cellars dug into the ground, as well as a tasting of Marijanović wines in its elegant tasting room that can accommodate up to 70 persons, accompanied by typical Herzegovinian finger foods such as local prosciutto and cheese.
The Marijanović winery is in the final phases of construction of a boutique hotel located above the wine cellar, so that soon you will be able to fully immerse yourself in this unique ambience!
