The Daorson winery is the only winemaking cooperative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathering a group of dedicated vineyard owners on the Dubrava plateau between the towns of Stolac and Čapljina, one of the most cherished winegrowing micro-regions in Herzegovina.

Daorson focuses its production on the two most famous winegrowing products of Herzegovina: Žilavka and Blatina wines, offering both fresh and barrique options. The winery is located a short walking distance from the center of the town of Stolac, so make sure to include a visit in your plans for the town! Next to the winery, Daorson also runs a bar/tavern in which a private traditional dinner of grilled meat or fish can be organized.

Don’t miss the opportunity to taste the famous local lamb or fresh trout fished in the nearby Bregava river! The name of the winery refers to the nearby archeological remains of the pre-Roman town of Daorson, built more than 2000 years ago by the people known as the Illyrians, who are believed to have first introduced wine production in this region.
