The ‘Spiritus moves’ of the Ljubuški Jazz Fest are seven-day jazz workshops, where young people who show an interest and inclination towards this type of music are given the opportunity to be educated in jazz, for which they have almost no opportunity in our wider area. Workshops and Music Masterclasses are typical in the music world and almost exclusively reserved for classical music. In the domain of jazz, mostly one-day workshops lasting a few hours are organized by musicians, performers at jazz festivals. Ljubuški Jazz Fest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and certainly beyond, is the first Festival that organizes multi-day workshops for jazz in the style of classical music master seminars, which we are extremely proud of. Jazz is not just music but a ‘way of life’ and every person, especially a young person who steps into its world, experiences the music and the phenomena around them in a more mature, deeper and more intuitive way. In addition, understanding and making music in jazz enables a richer and better practice of all other musical directions as well as other branches of art. When a young musician takes a step and experiences jazz in the right way, he remains forever in the world of infinite and wonderful possibilities of this music.
