Street Food Fest
The story of the Street Food Festival began in their minds during one of their frequent get-togethers, where they indulged in top-quality food prepared in an unconventional manner and enjoyed craft beer of the finest quality.
A decision was made to organize a festival that would bring together food enthusiasts, beer lovers, and music aficionados in one location. The primary objective was to introduce the audience to modern cuisine. However, as the idea took shape and evolved into reality, the concept underwent changes and enhancements.
Veljko Barbieri, the renowned figure of the Croatian gastronomic scene, joined their project. Barbieri was not only an esteemed writer, with translations of his novels in various languages, but also the host of the popular TV show “Menus of Lost Time.”
The festival featured an extensive selection of offerings, including over 20 different beers from three craft breweries, along with the finest wines from Herzegovina. Additionally, a highly skilled mixologist from the region treated the attendees to top-quality cocktails.
The diverse array of food options allowed visitors to explore various culinary experiences, such as steak preparation techniques, meat aging processes, different types of burgers, Japanese cuisine, desserts, and other dishes prepared with the Street food concept.
To cater to younger attendees, a dedicated program was arranged, complemented by giveaways from sponsors. The stand showcasing a 3D film about the County of West Herzegovina garnered significant interest from the youngest visitors.
The festival exuded a relaxed atmosphere and boasted remarkable attendance, leading to the organizers’ confidence in proclaiming it a resounding success. Their accomplishment has laid the foundation for an annual tradition.
